We want to make you aware of an upcoming BCBS AZ Medicare Advantage network change. BCBS AZ has shared that Banner‑employed PCPs will be out of network effective 7/1.
Approximately 12,000 of 43,000 members will be impacted. These members will need to select a new in‑network PCP as soon as possible. In‑network PCP options include Optum, AZPC, Village, One Medical, or an Independent PCP. If a PCP is not selected, one will be assigned.
Member Options Include:
- Selecting a new in‑network PCP
- Switching plans during OEP
- Contacting Medicare after 4/1 to attempt a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). Please note that enrollments completed this way would not include a broker of record.
BCBS BDEs can pull lists of impacted members if needed to assist.
