Medicare Rights is urging CMS to rethink several parts of the 2027 MA and Part D proposed rule, warning that many changes would weaken beneficiary protections.
While the rule includes some positives, like better access to risk‑adjustment data, easier SEPs when providers leave networks, and flexibility for certain D‑SNP enrollees, it also rolls back key marketing safeguards and reduces what plans, agents, and brokers must disclose to beneficiaries. The organization argues that these changes could lead to more aggressive marketing, less transparency, and greater confusion for Medicare enrollees.
